Sandy Blackwell is the Global Senior Director of the Software Security Group (SSG) at 74Software. Ms. Blackwell started her career with Axway in 2019 as the Program Manager for Cloud and Software Security before moving over to the Software Security Group in 2020. In 2024 Axway acquired Sopra Banking which became one of the entities under 74Software along with Axway.

Ms. Blackwell has over 25 years of experience in the technology field including IT, Q/A, application development and program/project management. Ms. Blackwell is also the founder of SnR Designs, LLC which provides proprietary secure software development to Healthcare and Government entities, as well as end-to-end managed services, support and maintenance for both on-prem and cloud customers.

At 74Software, Ms. Blackwell is responsible for driving and continuously improving the SSDLC as well as implementing new initiatives in how we identify, validate, and prioritize issues based on exploitability and reachability, providing guidance for remediation, as well as working to track and respond to security incidents and any other vulnerabilities raised. Our team members are the SMEs for application security and we work closely with our global R&D organization to review and validate the security of all of our software product offerings. We provide guidance on AI usage, as well as for secure coding, assess and score vulnerabilities reported by customers, we also provide training for all developers as well as our security champions (SPOCs) whose job it is to ensure the guidelines we provide are implemented.
